ANY South African sports person - in our case a model pilot - who attends any international flying event is required to
apply to SASCOC, with form NC1 for permission to participate.
This application is lodged by the SIG, not by the individual. If it
were an FAI event, or an event organised by an NAC/Association according
to FAI rules, the individual may need
an FAI Licence.
SAMAA members who wish to
participate in a non-FAI event do not require FAI Licences, but the application must be lodged
by the MGA. No national colours are involved in this case.
ALL such applications are required to come through the MGA.
National
Colours are only awarded to teams participating in FAI World
Championships where the published
team selection process was followed, individuals and teams have
qualified, and application was made.
