Postals 2019 Results

Thanks to everyone that participated in 2019 postals.

What is postals? Postals is a national model gliding competition where pilots from clubs around the country fly at their local fields during predefined months, using the same set of rules. Scores are 'posted in' and collated centrally.

Congratulations to our 2019 winner - Allan Sneedon.

In second place was Hans Van Kamp and third was Rudi King.

The pilot's classes and model details were as follows...

The club results saw BOMAC (Western Cape) in first place, DMAC (Kwazulu Natal) second and SGC (Gauteng) in third.

Many thanks to Hans Van Kamp and Jan Sime and everyone else who made the 2019 postals possible.

We look forward to everyone getting involved in the 2020 postals. The competition months are Feb, May, Aug and Nov - get your teams together and get ready.

To make the competition more balanced for the smaller models we are looking at having the Open & F5J flight duration 10 minutes, and the 2m class 6 minutes.

We are also planning to move the scoring from a manual system on to GliderScore to make score submissions and management quicker and easier.
